¿Cómo estás?
It has been a considerable amount of
time since I posted on my old faithful blog and I can really say I've missed it
a lot!
I think I can say - I'M BACK!
NOW... Where was I??
Or more like... Where am I??
IBIZA!!
Ibiza, Ibiza, Ibiza...
This island is magical...
I have been here since the 24th of
April now, quite some time and I arrived here very early days compared to most
of my compadres and señorita's. Time is flying, summer is in full swing and
everything is getting better and better.
The place I now call home. The place
where most of my happiest times of the last 3 years have been spent and the
place I currently can not think of leaving in any great hurry. It has tested me
to the maximum this year and really put me on the tips of my toes. But I can
honestly say... I LOVE THIS ISLAND!!
I am very very fortunate to be here
again for my second summer and to have met some of the amazing people I have so
far. That said I have met a few gobshites too, but I wont divulge into those
territories.
Second to the people would be the
musical experiences this year has blessed me with so far. Opening parties were
just what I had hoped them to be; and then some. Dancefloor's echoing the rawr
of a riot in full swing, as ravers loosen up there winter stiffened joints,
pale and pasty... Ready for sun, music and party prescriptions the summer has
in store for them.
It's July already and everything is
at full speed ahead... Some of the club nights only just joining the stampede
of musical lunacy, blowing off last summers cobwebs and showcasing their new
line ups with bright lights, beautiful dancers and a sea of smiley, gurney
faces from wall to wall, all braced for a party to remember.
Then we have the DJ's... Back behind
their favourite turntables, in their favourite clubs, spinning their musical
gems fresh off the press, created whilst locked away in their winter hideaways.
Or the legends of the party circuit digging the crates and blessing the
speakers our ears with the beautiful music we all come to Ibiza to jump around
to all summer long!
It would be rude not to mention the
beauty of this island and the beaches. I have visited some wonderful beaches,
some epic views and definitely seen a bit more of what Ibiza is about deep down
this year. My adventures are still in their youth and I have a lot more up my
sleeve. There is so much beauty all over this island, it doesn't take much more
than a 10 minute scooter adventure, or a 30 minute bus and you would think you
had landed in an exotic paradise... Not that Ibiza isn't slightly exotic.
I could go on and on and on... But
all I need to say is... I LOVE THIS PLACE SO SO MUCH!
It never ceases to amaze me... So
many good things to report already and plenty more to come! It feels so good to
be back and I am excited to what else this summer has in store for me.
Keep the good times flowing Ibiza...
